The Walkmen’s “Heaven” Helps Us Say Goodbye TO HIMYM

31 Mar

Honestly I am not sure how I feel about the series finale of HIMYM. I def need to process it a bit but I know I did love the use of The Walkmen’s stellar jam “Heaven” to help close out the show. It is pretty much the equivalent of the perfect ET goodbye! I am gonna miss hanging with the gang every Monday!

Oh Peter Silberman’s vocals do it again. The Antlers just continue to bring the perfection. I was obsessed with “Burst Apart,” that album did all kinds of things to me. I can see that happening again with the upcoming LP “Familiars” after hearing our first gorgeous taste from it “Palace.” “Familiars” drops 6/1. I can’t wait!!!!

The National on The Tonight Show

The National on The Tonight Show

I remember when “High Violet” was coming out and The National went on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to debut “Terrible Love.” It was a stellar performance as has been any of the gazillion tv performances they have had since then (on SNL, Colbert, Kimmel, etc)! This time around they performed the glorious “Trouble Will Find Me” track “This Is The Last Time” on The Tonight Show. Duh Matty and company brought the tylenol, beer and well perfection to Fallon. Click on the pic of Jimmy and Matt above to watch The National make the magic happen!
