DYC’s Fave We Got The Sunshine, We Got The Shade Jams

23 May

Can you believe it is already Memorial Day weekend…we are almost actually half way through 2015…CRAZY right!? But with this crazy it is practically June time is the fact that music really just steps up its game this time of the year.  We all want to find that summer jam or well jams for our dance parties, picnics, beach shenanigans, bbqs etc.  And well over the last two weeks we got a whole lot of possible tracks that could be a summer anthem.

For me the song I will probably continue to play on repeat for the rest of the year is Metric‘s brand new one The Shade. I AM OBSESSED.  Emily Haines can do no wrong in my book and although there is really not much known about when a future LP is upon us that’s okay because from The Shade I know when this new album does arrive it is gonna pick up where Synthetica left off and be perfection!  Also making this week’s playlist is a hot track from Albert Hammond Jr.  Born Slippy just like the jams on his last EP is damn great.  Florence + The Machine‘s latest Delilah is another glorious one from her upcoming new album “How Big How Blue How Beautiful” (that I honestly need blasting my ears off already).   We also got stellar new tracks from Courtney Love, Christopher Owens, Mates Of State, Destroyer, Porcelain Raft and Class Actress that prove they are as hot as ever!  And Fickle Friends, The New Division and Briana Marela also made the grade in helping to end May in a musically perfect way!

I hope you find at least one new jam, whether it be your summer anthem or not, to obsess over.  You can stream “DYC’s Fave We Got The Shine, We Got The ShadeJams” below:
